3 things I want to say...

Sat Sep 19, 2009, 5:36 AM
First of all.

I have a deadline on October 2. Our school's Sportfest is on November 13, so that means we have to start making batch t-shirt designs! ;)

I feel a little inspired, I have a few ideas on my sleeve. Now that I'm a Senior, the color of our shirt is red. I'll be working extra hard now, it's my last year, I want my batch to win, not only in the batch t-shirt, but as an overall winner of the Sportfest.

I never really did went through uploading our batch shirt design here in my gallery, but I will, just not at the moment. Hehehe.

Second of all.

Last September 16 (Wednesday) was our English Extemporaneous Speech Contest (for the Seniors, since the Juniors' contest was about the Hamlet Soliloquy by William Shakespeare), and I was a contestant, the same teacher who entered me when I was a first year student. A week before the contest, she told me and I didn't want to join...AT ALL. But sadly, I never got time to back out.

I have the baddest stage-fright...EVER. So I really didn't think I would survive it. I'm deathly afraid of going onstage with a lot of people watching.

They already gave us the topics, 14 topics and 10 contestants. And since it's EXTEMPORANEOUS, we will only draw the question from the ballots when a contestant is already giving his/her speech. So all of us has at least 2 minutes. So when I got home, I already did a few notes on all 14 questions.

Anyway, I was one of the props people for the English program, so the day before the whole contest, me and a few other props people and their also my friends, Erika, Alfred, and Claudine, was with me, we're rushing everything, so we were painting a 6 pcs. cartolina (kind of like a thin cardboard paper) poster. And we didn't finish it, since we did it after class while the intermissions performers were practicing (we were at our school performance hall).

So the next day, I had to wake up freakin' 5 AM early, just to get to school on 6:00 sharp. Thank goodness we finished it.

But while were finishing, I was nerve-wrecked, in minutes I would be up on stage giving the speech. Moving on...

The Juniors were first to go with their soliloquy.

So we, the contestants, are all in the backstage, we were all feeling queasy. It was freaky, my hands feel cold but my face is warm.

And you know what I did? I prayed to God that He'll give me the confidence and strength to get through this, win or lose, I want to be done with it. I was number 9 by the way, lucky me that I'm second to the last.

When it was my turn to pick the question, since number 8 is already on stage, I got the question that goes something like this: "Will Science a.) save the world b.) end the world c.) do neither" (my answer is C).

And then when it was my turn to give my speech, I took a deep breath, looked back at the people backstage and went to the mic stand, they said I should smile, keep eye contact, and be poise. At first I couldn't think, but finally, words became available in my head. I skipped a few beats, but I still went on. And I noticed that I was trembling in the middle of my speech so I took hold of the mic stand with my other hand. And finally, I was done, I went back stage and then went offstage back to my seat on the first row.

I'm also the photographer (since I'm an English club member), so I was taking pictures. When it was time for everyone to know the winners for the Seniors division, guess who got called on the 3rd prize? I was called and I didn't know where to put my SLR. LOL!

Yeah, my last year and I won a medal in a Speech contest. It felt great. So that's the 2nd medal I got for this school year.

3rd and last.

Since the New Moon movie is already near, I'm already planning to make a soundtrack. The first soundtrack will be all of my choices, but that will be including "Already Gone" by Kelly Clarkson and "Meet Me On The Equinox" by Death Cab For Cutie. And when I get the real playlist, I'll make a cover for it too.

For the moment, I'm out of ideas, been brainstorming for the shirt. =P

-------------

That's all.

Thanks to all who read this. I know I suck at summaries. Hahaha! But if you meet me in person, I'm quite quiet. LOL! But I'm talkative when I have to be.

Here's a :cookie: and God bless! :D

COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT: HEAR ME OUT!

Fri Aug 21, 2009, 7:29 PM
Today, I got a note from :icondolphin-gurl: Dolphin-Gurl.

The note was:

one of your works was stolen?

[link] I came across this just now, then I noticed yours and saw that yours was posted earlier. I wasn't sure if you were ariel44, or if someone stole your work.

Just thought that you should know if someone stole your wonderful piece of art, and if I should report it or not.

thank you!

Click the link given in the mail. The thief is: :iconariel44: ariel44

My reaction was....appalled. And a little annoyed. It's not like it never happened before. But these are the few times the thief actually claimed that the work was theirs. :shakefist:

I'm not sure for how long the girl would keep my work because I already commented on the graphic.

I can't believe I didn't know about this. :no:

IF ANYONE OF YOU FINDS SOMETHING LIKE THIS, PLEASE REPORT AND TELL ME.

THANK YOU. :tighthug:

SWEET SIXTEEN, GONNA SPREAD MY WINGS!

Thu Jul 2, 2009, 6:38 AM
It's my 16th birthday today (July 2)! :woohoo: :cake:

I'm really happy :la:, my family surprised me with an Oreo Cake (from Red Ribbon) when we were eating dinner and I had food in my mouth, I was surprised but then, I don't really express my "feeling of surprise" out loud...so nobody knew :clap:. Hahaha! :laughing:

They sung "Happy Birthday", and there was this part where I was pulling a bone from my mouth because I didn't know the piece of meat has a small bone in it :hungry:, my dad took a picture with my SLR. I rather not show those pictures.

And then this morning, at school, when I got to the 4th floor (where the 4th years are), people shouted Happy Birthday to me! :lol: I was hoping not to spread it, sadly, everybody heard my friends' screams and everyone started greeting me. I could feel the love! :heart: So the whole day probably went with many "Happy Birthdays" from everyone and many "Thank yous" from me. :D :party:

Though at our Literature class, we were getting ready for our presentations (group by group), and I checked my phone for the time, since I had my sister's laptop (it was needed for the PowerPoint Presentation, they have projectors at school, so I can just plug it in) I had the screen to hinder it from the teacher's view, and besides, the teacher has her back on me (yeah, she was in front of me). Hahaha! Anyway, I saw a message from my sister, Erica, and this is what she text messaged me (not one thing is edited):

"To my wonderful Shobe,
who's my best friend...
Who gives me a shoulder to lean and always has an ear to lend.
(even though the leaning part annoys u, and the hearing part makes ur ear hurt, because of me talking a lot.)
To my wonderful Shobe
Whom I hold so close to my heart...
To my friend with whom I shall never part!
(u will always be in my heart, and never will I leave u, because ur my shobe, my half, w/o u I'm no one)
Wishing you all the joy & hoping all your reams come true!
Happy 16th Birthday Shobe!!
-Erica"

"Shobe" means little sister in Chinese, I call her Achi, which means big sister. While I read this, my eyes prickled, tears started to form :happycry:, and my friend Janz (she's a girl) saw me, and was like "Okay ka lang, Elly?" (Trans.: Are you okay, Elly?), I was like, "Yeah." and then some of my other friends started "Bakit yun birthday girl umiiyak?" (Trans.: Why is the birthday girl crying?) And I said "Si Achi kasi, nag-text sa akin. *laughs* I'm touched kasi eh." (Trans.: It's cause of my sister, she text messaged me and I'm touched by what she said.) I laughed it off while I wiped my tears, not everyone in class noticed, so no worries. :D Janz thought our presentation didn't work that's why I'm crying! :laughing: But the presentation was moved next week since our group didn't got the chance to finish along with some other groups.

But I won't be having an party. I'm not a party person, I don't really like getting crowded. Hahaha! I kind of want just a small hang-out trip with my friends. And a get-together with my family.

That's all I got. Or maybe I forgot a few things. Hahaha!

:bulletpurple::bulletpurple::bulletpurple::bulletpurple::bulletpurple:

TRANSFORMERS 2: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN ROCKED! Hahaha, got to watch it last Sunday.

Oh yeah, my cousin, Kayla, gave me two turtles as my birthday gift! I haven't got a name for them yet! One girl :tmnt4: and one boy :tmnt2:. So anyone has any suggestions?

And what should I ask as a gift from my parents? Subscribe me for a year here in deviantART? Or more books?

The latter sounds pretty tempting...hahaha! :lol:

Oh yeah, add me up in Facebook, LOL: [link] (Nah, just felt like sharing)

GOD BLESS YOU ALL! :huggle: Here's a :cookie: for you! Thanks for reading!

I'm off to Hong Kong!

Sat Mar 28, 2009, 9:17 AM
First of all. I'm going to Hong Kong tomorrow (March 29). Until April 4. My flight is 12:00 PM but I'll be at the airport by 8:00+ AM.

I had prom today, and I feel so sleepy right now, my fake eyelashes are still on, I'm going to take 'em off later. LOL! And oh fudge...I'm going to wear my prom hair to the airport! Hahaha! Weird...maybe I should wake up early to take a bath.

And I still have nail polish on...French tips!

I'll be going with my mom, dad, and sister. Yeah, only the four of us.

Our 2 days there, we're going to Macau (Macao), the Venetian Hotel. :w00t: Then the next 5 days, we're in Hong Kong, I forgot the hotel. But I'm more excited on visiting the Madame Tussaud's there.

I need to make this fast, my eyelids are getting heavier.

Don't ask me why some of my graphics disappeared in my gallery....I uploaded them back anyway...except for 2 signatures, I'll upload them when I get back.

Thanks for the :+fav:'s and the :+devwatch:. :glomp:

When I get back, I'll tell you all about the trip...and the prom. :D And then I'll post the pictures of my TWLOHA hoodie!

What else...?

I don't know what to say! My head is getting fogged up. Hahaha! :lol:

Well, I'm going to miss you all! Big hugs and lotsa love! Peace yo! Hahaha!

GOD BLESS! That's all! Here's a :cookie:! :hug:

When you get featured in a site...

Fri Mar 20, 2009, 9:51 PM
YOU'D BE TOTALLY PROUD OF YOURSELF FOR THE NEXT FIVE MINUTES AFTER SEEING IT. :lol:

Nah, you're just going to be proud of yourself and get your esteem up. Which is good if you're not egoistical. I'm not the one for big heads, so no problem with me. :floating:

So, about the feature, here's the site:

[link] <---- DOODLAGE.COM

It's my "Bella Swan's Desk" that is featured along with a lot of cool drawings. I'm going to admit my manual drawing skills, as in pencil and whatnot, is very crappy, I do drawings before, but that was a long time, so yeah, my sister said she'll help me get back into shape again. =P

:bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack:

That's not the only thing that's making me happy.

I FINALLY GOT MY TWLOHA HOODIE! AND IT'S TOTALLY COOL! It's made out of pure AWESOME! I couldn't post the pictures of the package yet because the camera is with my sister, and she's downstairs this very moment as I post this. You know how stubborn I am.

Anyway, the hoodie is awesome. Hahaha, I know, you get it, its awesome. And at this very moment, it's hanging in the walk-in closet. I'm going to take it out tomorrow, hopefully the weather wouldn't be freakin' hot, which I totally doubt that the weather tomorrow would be fulfilling.

I bought the hoodie that say "LOVE IS THE MOVEMENT" in the front in big bold white letters. I thought it looks pretty cool.

:bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack:

So it's finally summer! Except I still have CET (College Entrance Test) Review until March 27. And then on the 28th is our Juniors Prom, which I WAS SUPPOSEDLY NOT GOING TO, except everyone was starting to tease my conscience saying "The one who made the ticket isn't going..." and all that drama. Well...that made me buy the ticket, they are ruthless, let me tell you. Thank goodness they're not here in dA. :D

I will try and post the ticket design here whenever I can, I already added it in my Multiply.

A lot of them says its cool, hehe...*squeals in a corner* LOL! :lol:

I kept my ticket inside a book, it has an envelope by the way, all of us got it with envelopes with our name on it.

:bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack:

I'm working on a new story, but I'm not posting it anywhere because its between me and my cousins Kayla and Cherisse, and also my sister Erica. Who knows, maybe I will post it HERE, because it is WAAAAAY safer here.

And yeah, I'm going to teach myself to do vexel/vector after the CET Review, and a lot more things, I can't just stick to one artistic frame. I want to explore!

Oh yeah, I'll be gone by March 28. Not going to say why. :D

:bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack:

Oh yeah, this morning, guess what? My alarm didn't wake me up...a call from a teacher did. SERIOUSLY.

Ms. Canlas (Health and Science teacher, she currently teacher Chemistry for the Juniors, but she isn't my teacher, she teaches the other sections) called me this morning through my mobile phone, and thank goodness and I didn't sound like a frog when I answered it! It was around 10 AM. Yes, I was suppose to wake up by 9:30 AM but I didn't hear my phone alarm. LOL! She called me to ask if I already asked someone to bring the copied CD of the JS Program which I took video of! Yes, I was separated from my classmates, I was up in the balcony of our classy auditorium. Anyway, Mr. Buendia (the cool computer teacher, too bad he isn't my teacher, the other 3rd year classes got him...boohoo, our section 3-Red didn't have him as teacher, and also 3-Violet).

A lot of teachers are text messaging me...

Ms. Canlas - as said above.
Mr. Buendia - he just text messaged me a few minutes ago, asking where I asked the person to leave the CD, I answered of course.
Mr. Ping (Social Studies teacher, I didn't become his student also because he doesn't teacher 3-Red & 3-Violet also. WAAAAAH. He's cool too) - I still have school in this one, it was about the Social Club t-shirt, our factory made it.

And I saved all their numbers! Wahaha! Hahaha!

:bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack::bulletpurple::bulletblack:

So yeah, that's just about it. I know...I talk too much!

Anyway, I'm going to lay off of "Twilight" graphics, I want something else. I've noticed "Twilight" has becoming REALLY overrated, but I still love the series. ;)

HERE'S A DOZEN :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: for reading my journal. And because it's really long. LOL! THANK YOU! :glomp:
