"This world corrupts my beautiful fantasies Of complete happiness, and the stars in the skies Are smiles of my being But I hesitate to stay in my world Because my mind operates mostly in reality And its killing me slowly like an open wound Bleeding out all the fun and laughter in me To make me so serious, so worried all the time But that's the sacrifice I have to make..."

This is my entry for her contest, I have to depict an art from her poem and the poem above is what I chose to illustrate the best I can.
The last 4 days have been strenuous for my brain because I was out of ideas! I was trying so hard to think of ideas and it was coming too slow for me, and thank goodness it's done!
On the photo that has been ripped in the middle, I tried to make the tears look realistic, I really did. I'm not sure though if it does.
I liked how the broken mirror reflected the sky, I brainstormed there, hehe. It's like someone broken is looking forward for a better day, when the storm would stop. How I did it is a secret! (I'm pretty sure someone will figure it out. )
The gold wings necklace represents more of freedom.
Ignore the coffee beans, I was trying to fill spaces there. Hehe.
The Play-Doh clouds, sun, and flower...well, I was kind of having a crazy moment there. Haha! But the poem mentioned Play-Doh, so I thought I should have a little fun by putting the clay stocks.
The art stuff...well, I love art. So I guess it's my kind of freedom to express.
And the sand and shells, don't we all want paradise?

And for all that's left, well, I got them from another site...which by the way, I downloaded about a year ago, which means I forgot where I got it, but I still have it in my hard drive. Thanks!
very, very interesting concept. I've seen this a few times before (the style, you know, with everything on the table) but your piece is the first to deliver an emotional message with it.
Thank you! It was for a poem. Anyway, I think art is about pouring out emotion. I'm sure a lot of people experiences that kind of pain, why not let them know they're not the only one, right? And thank you so much!
